Although I've never been more overweight than 10-15 lbs, I used to take Metabolife 356 (with ephedra) from time to time and it worked well. I definitely had more energy and could get away with eating whatever. I originally bought the Ultra by mistake (not knowing about ephedra ban yet) and am about thru with the 90 caplet bottle.... yet no results. No energy increase, no lost lbs/inches. The only benefit that may be present is somewhat lack of appetite. I wouldn't recommend this product... and personally won't be buying it again. (no ephedra - no fat burn)

I bought Metabolife Ultra with the mind set that this is NOT a miracle weight loss solution (just like any other diet pill), it is a diet supplement. I wasn't expecting anything other than what it advertises "...burns fat by raising the body's metabolism, increasing energy levels, and suppressing appetite." I bought the product after looking at all the other diet pills at target. I did consider trying the new NV "Hollywood's Diet Pill", but I had already spent my whole paycheck so what I could afford was Metabolife Ultra. I am happy with it. It has been a little more than two weeks. I take two in the morning, two at mid-day and two at dinner time, with a cup of water with each serving. As far as exercise I jog three to four times a week, more if I have time, as well as trying to just stay as active as possible. I have not had any side affects other than for the first 3 nights I was on this diet pill I had trouble sleeping, I was a little jittery when I tried to go to sleep, more than likely it was my body getting used to the caffeine in the product. I am not a coffee drinker, only drink caffeine free tea and I do not drink any soft drinks. I have noticed a considerable decrease in appetite. I am one of those people who are always hungry, so for me I noticed right way that I was not always thinking of what to eat. When I started my diet I needed to count calories to make sure I stayed within my allowance, but now I don't really have to count calories (I still do just to know). When I go to eat a meal not only do I eat less than what I put on my plate but less fills me up. I also noticed I have much more energy which is expected, most likely because of the caffeine. As far as my metabolism being raised I have no idea. I have not weighed myself yet since starting Metabolife, I weigh myself about once a month. Although tempting I don't think I will weigh myself until I finish the bottle because for me what is key to MY weight loss is appetite suppressant and this does it.

I am not one for pills or meds, as I am more sensetive to side effects than most people.But I did the wise thing and started off taking 1 pill rather than 2, and taking it only twice per day instead of three times.It is day 3 and I feel great. No jitters but ALOT of energy. Eating MUCH less... they are supressing my appetite tremendously! I have lost 2 lbs in the last 3 days. (*Note- this is partly because in addition to eating less... the things I do eat are low in calories and fat*)Another bonus is that because 2 pills a day are plenty for me right now... the bottle of 90 pills is going to last me much longer.For those who fear the side effects... I recommend starting the dosage very low to see how your body handles it.. (as you should with ANY pills or meds).
