This review is centered around preference. By that I mean, what would you prefer to put up with while trying to lose weight? Because you'll have to compromise somewhere to get the body you want, no matter what. For instance, I've since adopted a pretty intense fitness routine since stopping Alli, and so I now lean toward more intense supplements, like BELDT: Force Thermogenic, since it helps me get the results I want much faster. However, if your routine is more passive (i.e., don't/can't exercise for whatever reason), as mine once was, then sure, Alli is a viable alternative. BUT, you've still got to deal with certain adjustments.With my current routine, I know there are days where I'll have to grit my teeth through the first 20 minutes or so of exercise before I'll even be in the mood to barrel through the rest... but it also means I get to spend the other 22-23 hours each day feeling physically and mentally great. I deal with that fleeting aggravation because it's worth it to me. That's my preference.By that same token, Alli allows for much simpler weight loss (as far as physical effort) BUT you still have to maintain very specific dietary practices, such as consuming no more than a certain amount of fat per day, or else run the risk of needing spare undies with you at all times (the flashbacks still haunt me). Alli is a lipase inhibitor, meaning it blocks the intestines from absorbing some of the fat from food, and instead causes you to pass it straight into your stool. Yes. That stool. And because fat can be quite oily, well... I'm sure I don't have to illustrate the difficulty in "holding it" while you find a bathroom. Yeah. Not my preference. So, Alli did help me lose a few pounds with little effort, but the added, um, "responsibilities" that came along with it just weren't my dish (especially for the price).

So far so good, I've been taking Alli on and off for about eight months now, it is a very solid product. I wasn't able to keep taking it for a while due to the side effects until my body adjusted to it. I was originally losing weight pretty quickly, especially by following the Alli program which recommends a low fat diet. Unfortunately the low fat approach seemed to make me crave more carbs. This was a problem since I was eating so many carbs in the beginning that I was actually replacing the weight I lost by reducing the fat with the carbs I was eating. I was able to get this whole mess under control with the use of a supplement, called Carb Stopper Extreme. It blocks carbohydrates from turning into fat. This allowed me to satisfy my cravings for carbs, keep a low fat diet with Alli, yet still get have energy to get me through my workouts. As of today I am down 47 pounds since I started and 24 of those pounds were after I started taking the combination of Alli and Carb stopper extreme. I am very happy with my results and would definitely recommended giving this combo a shot. When Kate Moss said "Nothing Tastes as good as skinny feels!" She wasn't kidding at all!

I've been taking this product for two years now. It was prescribed by my doctor after I stopped smoking and gained quite a bit of weight. I lost 60 pounds but also dieted vigorously and exercised regularly at the gym on the treadmill for 35 minutes. Oily discharge sometimes? you bet, but only when I ate meals with a high fat content. Couple bits of advice: if you feel like you need to fart, don't. You can't be sure of what will come out. Restrain yourself until you get to a toilet, just in case. Also, not only fried chicken and fried food have fat. Any kind of red meat has fat content. Rule of thumb for me is if calories from fat are high, I take a pill with the meal. This product is a lifesaver but it only works with diet and exercise.
