As a single mother of two beautiful twins that works two jobs and is trying to write a novel in her spare time, the actual phrase ‘spare time’ is not really functional for me. Frankly, I wouldn’t even consider writing this review a wise expenditure of my time had SVETOL GCBE not so positively affected my life. But it did, and thus I am here sharing my story with the folk of Amazon. I sincerely hope my words reach someone who could benefit from this product as much as I did.My husband’s parents are long gone, and I grew up in foster care, so when he tragically passed away in a car accident two years ago, I had absolutely no familial support system to fall back on. The emotional blow was devastating, but having had the childhood I did, I knew that letting my kids suffer more than absolutely necessary wasn’t an option. I went from being a stay-at-home mom to struggling to find work in order to stay afloat. Luckily, fate, God, chance – call it what you will - brought many kind people into my life and they have helped me out more than I could ever truly express here. But make no bones about it; I put in blood, sweat, and plenty of tears to get to where I am today. A place where I can comfortably provide for my children and still keep my sanity. The cost, unfortunately, is working sixty hours per week, sometimes more, and I feared that I wasn’t being a properly interactive mother to my little angels.Months and months of working seven days a week drained any accumulated energy reserves to the last drop. It got to a point where I came home one night, said hello to my neighbor Cindy (she was babysitting my children) sat down on my bed to put on some sweats, and fell asleep. Luckily, my neighbor is more considerate than most, and she looked after my girls all night while I slept. The next day I felt TERRIBLE. As though I had abandoned my children and taken advantage of my friend. I was apologizing profusely, and during the conversation that ensued she told me about her friend that had recently begun a weight loss routine and specifically one of the things her trainer had her taking as an all-natural energy booster. I could use extra energy. 5-hour energy drinks were scaring me, I was taking them so often.And that’s what brings me here. As you may have guessed by now, she was referring to green coffee bean extract. If it were good enough for Cindy’s, friend’s, trainer to recommend, than it was worth it to me to give it a try. Within a couple of days I got my first bottle. I am now onto my fourth bottle.You can feel the difference they make almost instantly. Right away I noticed myself feeling less and less tired, and my mind had more focus throughout the day. I went from getting five hours of sleep a night and feeling brain-dead to getting five hours of sleep and feeling well rested. I should clarify, it didn’t regulate or affect my sleep schedule, it just allowed me to feel much more alert after my morning dose. I have never been much of a coffee drinker in my life because it hardly gives me any energy. This extract, however, is much more effective. To be honest, I’m not sure if there is any difference between green coffee and regular coffee, so there could be a scientific reason for this. But regardless, the extract works where coffee doesn’t, and that’s what I needed. Without the fizzle in the afternoon.What I didn’t expect is the weight loss that came along without me even trying. I’ve always been a bit more on the curvy side, but I never really had any motivation to lose weight. My husband started dating me in high school and always loved the way I looked. Now that he’s gone I’ve had no desire, or time, to seek another man. All of this made my weight a complete afterthought until the pounds started shaving off. I’ve never made a habit of weighing myself so I can’t provide you with exact numbers, but I’m 5’4” and my weight has always hovered in the 140s.I first started noticing the weight loss when my work pants began feeling a bit loose on me. I was very confused at first because my diet has been terrible as of late. I hardly ever have time to cook anymore, so my meals usually consist of ready-to-eat store-bought foods, or simple meals like spaghetti that are packed with carbs. Since I was taking the pills for energy, it completely skipped my mind that they’re normally marketed as a dietary supplement. Once I started getting asked how I found time to exercise while working so much and taking care of two kids, I knew that it had to be the pills. I’m on my feet for almost twelve hours per day, so I’m obviously not living a sedentary lifestyle, but none of what I do is high intensity. There’s just no way this would have happened on its own. A few days ago curiosity got the best of me and I finally weighed myself. After three months, no discernable diet, and no exercise, I sit here typing this at 124 pounds. I get complimented all the time, and even though I’m still not ready to let another man into my life, knowing that I’m still a desirable woman is a great self-esteem booster.Now, I haven’t experienced any persistent side effects from taking these consistently, but I think I should still mention ones that happen sporadically. I’ve noticed, on occasion, that my heart rate will get really fast for a couple of minutes and then slow down. It remains steady and rhythmic, but I can feel it pumping away in my chest. Honestly, this has given me moments of concern, but it doesn’t happen often enough where I see it as a real health issue. Comparatively, it was worse just after downing a five-hour energy drink for me. Also, when I’m on my period, it tends to make my cramps incredibly intense. If you’re going to use them primarily for weight loss, I would recommend not taking them on those days. Unfortunately, I need the energy boost so that’s not an option for me. Lastly, if I don’t eat enough and take the same dose I start to get a bit dizzy and it feels like the world is going to overwhelm me. I get hyper-focused on whatever it is I’m doing and everything else seems to pass by me in a blur. This only lasts for a few seconds, but it’s a really eerie sensation. Before I figured it out that it correlated with my eating schedule I was genuinely afraid something was wrong with me. Luckily, if I make sure to eat properly it never happens anymore.As I said in the beginning, this product has really helped shape my life… and my body. I don’t know where I would find the energy to keep up with my rigorous work schedule otherwise. Any and all additional weight loss is just a perfectly ironic cherry on top.

I am hypothyroid and have been steadily gaining weight the last 2 years. I am 50 years old, 5'1" tall and topped out at 151 lbs before I knew I had to do something. My doctor told me to try Weight Watchers, which I did. I had no success with that. I lost a total of 3 pounds and couldn't get any more weight off. One day I saw an advertisement in our local newspaper for Green Coffee Bean Extract. I went to my doctor for a consultation and we decided to try this program. It's based on low carbs, high protein, and carefully measured and calculated meal plans that you follow, in addition to the daily pills. I do better when someone tells me what to eat, when to eat it, and how much, but that's just me.I wanted to lose 25 pounds, which I did in the four & 1/2 months I was on the program. I was pleasantly surprised when I saw the pounds coming off. I lost 1-2 pounds per week. They have a great customer service and they answered my questions fully. I will not lie: the regime is not a miracle. However, I would not have lost any weight trying to do this on my own. I purchased many of their supplements while on the plan to help my body get what it needed while on this diet. They also have supplements that will speed up the weight loss. Being hypothyroid, it's a little more difficult to achieve the 3-4 pounds a week they say you will lose. I love the way I look, I can now get into clothes I haven't worn for several years, and I feel so much better. My blood pressure, cholesterol and sugar levels are fantastic and my family doctor approved of this diet as well. I would definitely recommend this program to anyone who is hypothyroid and cannot lose or who is gaining weight steadily.

Svetol®, green coffee extract, induces weight loss and increases the lean to fat mass ratio in volunteers with overweight problemABSTRACT In order to test the effects of Svetol®, a green coffee extract rich in chlorogenic acids with specific ratio between 5-caffeoylquinic acid and others caffeoylquinic acid isomers, on weight loss, 50 volunteers with body mass index superior to 25 were selected. They were randomized in two groups, control group (II = 20) receiving placebo, treated group (n = 30) receiving Svetol®. Each volunteer took one capsule of Svetol® or placebo twice a day with main meal, for 60 days. Changes in weight, body mass index (BMI), Muscle Mass/Fat Mass ratio (MM/FM) and self-evaluation of physical aspect were recorded at TO and T60. After 60 days of treatment, a mean reduction in weight of 4.97 +/- 0.32 kg (5.7%) was observed in the Svetol® group compared to control group in which the mean reduction was 2.45 +/- 0.37 kg (2.9%) (p < 0.001). Consequently, body mass index decreased significantly in Svetol® group compared to control group. Moreover, MM/FM ratio was increased significantly in Svetol® group compared to control group: 4.1 +/- 0.7% vs 1.6 +/- 0.6 respectively (p = 0.01). The significant decrease of weight, baby mass index and fat mass showed that Svetol® is able to exacerbate effect of a bland low caloric diet in volunteers who have overweight. This effect could be explained by increasing the consumption of fatty deposits, as shown by change in the MM/FM ratio, and by preventing them from being accumulated. To conclude, Svetol® could be used to aid the dietetics prescription in a useful and positive manner.Hydroxycinnamic acids are one of the major classes of phenolic compounds. They are present in a large variety of fruits and vegetables. The major representative of hydroxycinnamic acids in food is caffeic acid. It largely occurs conjugated with quinic acid as in chlorogenic acid (5-caffeoylquinic acid). Coffee, one of the most widely consumed beverages in the world, is the major dietary source of chlorogenic acids. Chlorogenic acid has antioxidant properties showed by its ability to scavenge various free radicals when tested in vitro. Moreover, chlorogenic acid reduces glucose uptake by favouring the dissipation of the Na+ electrochemical gradient and inhibits the activity of hepatic glucose-6-phosphatase which is implicated in glucose homeostasis. In vivo, when ingested under coffee form, chlorogenic acid increases the plasma antioxidant capacity. Chlorogenic acid is also able to reverse the prooxidant effects of drugs such as paraquat and have been reported to prevent different cancers and cardiovascular diseases in several experimental studies on animal models. Therefore, we hypothesized that chlorogenic acid modulating glucose metabolism and decreasing oxidative stress could limit overweight, obesity development and secondary diseases associated with as type 2 diabetes mellitus or cardiovascular problems. The aim of the present work was to evaluate if Svetol®, a green coffee extract, could decrease overweight in volunteers who had body mass index (BMI) superior to 25.RESULTS Weight loss and Body Mass Index After 60 days of treatment, a mean reduction in weight of 4.97 +/- 0.32 kg (-5.7 +/- 0.3%) was observed in the Svetol® group compared to control group in which the mean reduction was 2.45 +/-0.37 kg (-2.9 +/- 0.4%). These means are significantly different (p < 0.001) (Figure 2A). Consequently, body mass index decreased significantly in Svetol® group compared to control group (-1.9 +/- 0.1 kg/m2 vs -0.9 +/- 0.1 kg/m2 ; p < 0.001) (Figure 2B). Muscle Mass/ Fat Mass ratio In Svetol® group, MM/FM ratio was increased significantly compared to control group: +4.1 +/-0.7% vs +1.6 +/- 0.6 respectively (p =0.01)Obesity is a serious public health problem [16]. Overweight and obesity are the cause of health problems of varying degrees of seriousness: asthenia, osteo-arthicular, psychological and cardio-vascular problems. The reality is that this condition has a negative impact on the quality of life, and in the case of obesity, it can even lead to a reduction in life expectancy. With the exception of serious neuro-endocrine pathologies the problem is caused mainly by lifestyle. A rational diet in quantity and quality, combined with some physical exercise can help to obtain some loss of weight. A change in lifestyle is not simple so in order to reach the desired goal of controlling weight pharmaceutical products are used as well as nutritional supplements with various compositions, fat burners, all with the aim of contrasting the lack of balance between the number of calories introduced and the number of those consumed which leads to overweight. There is a relationship between the amount of carbohydrates in the diet and the amount of fats in the adipose reserves since the carbohydrates are responsible for most of the calories introduced [17] and the intake of sugars reduces energy consumption. In normal production and activity of insulin, the calories introduced are burnt up without transforming the lipids into stock. On the other hand, if the amount of glucose present in the blood is in excess with regards to its use and to the hepatic glycogenesis, this excess glucose (owing to the insulin which has been increased by the hyperglycemia) enters into the adipocytes where it is stored as fat reserves [18]. The consequences are: (i) the fat reserves are not used to produce energy; (ii) an increase of adipocytes. In diets the lower quantity of carbohydrates consumed is a way to "force" the organism to burn up the fat which has been deposited in the adipocytes and therefore to lose weight. It is possible to improve the effect of the lower amounts of carbohydrates consumed by exploiting the hepatic activity to regulate the glycemia level. When glucose level in the blood is lower than lg/L, the liver synthesized glucose-6-phosphate (G6P) by an hexokinase, hydrolysed G6P by means of a glucose-6-phosphatase and released glucose into the bloodstream. It's glycogenolysis. If this sequence is interrupted the fatty deposits do not increase, but are instead used for the production of energy. The aim of the present work was to evaluate if Svetol®, green coffee extract concentrated in chlorogenic acids with specific ratio between 5-caffeoylquinic acid and others caffeoylquinic acid isomers, could decrease overweight in volunteers by fat burning action as suggested by in vitro studies showing inhibition of the activity of hepatic glucose-6-phosphatase by 5-caffeoylquinic acid [7, 8]. The significant decrease of weight and fat mass showed that Svetol® is able to exacerbate effect of a bland low caloric diet in volunteers who had overweight. This effect could be explained by increasing the consumption of fatty deposits, as shown by change in the MM/FM ratio, and by preventing them from being accumulated. From results presented here and bibliography, Svetol®s mechanism could be proposed: first of all, associated with the diet, it inhibits glucose absorption in the small intestine[6]. In addition, by inhibiting the activity of glucose-6-phosphatase [7, 8], it limits the release of glucose into the general circulation.To conclude, Svetol® has demonstrated its validity and could be used to aid the dietetics prescription in a useful and positive manner.This is the study I was informed of by my professor last autumn, which I read carefully. (It is more detailed than what I pasted here, but you get the gist here). I do not know why I wasn't as successful as the general results would suggest, but I wasn't. I did not gain weight, I did not feel bloated or experience an upset stomach. But during my own 60-day trial using Pure Svetol from Dynamic Nutrition I did not experience any weight loss. Maybe it is my physique or chemical makeup or other factors contributed. Perhaps it is prudent to mention here I am of mixed ancestry - 50% african-american, the remainder a mix of western-european descent. I imagine with the right mix of genes your experience may be different. I haven't been particularly dissuaded from trying similar products - as indicated by a few other trial products I am working on on this site that I have posted or am working on posting.
