This stuff really is hardcore!

Back in the day (before people started dying from liver failure or whatever it was and they took the old formula off the market), I lost a good 60 pounds in 3 months on the old Hydroxycut formula. It was all baby weight I put on from eating Flamin Hot Cheetos during pregnancy so granted it wasn't fat I'd been carrying around my whole life but it just melted off with Hydroxycut. I recall realizing some days "oops, I totally forgot to eat!" and forcing something down. Perhaps not the healthiest way to lose weight but it worked and it stayed off.Well fast forward almost a decade and I'm now over 30, and a beer-swilling, work-from-home writer. My job allows me the luxury of drinking at noon and I've been knocking back way too many day after day. I'm still not a huge blob but I did put on 10 - 15 pounds in beer alone over the last year and doing my little Zumba routine wasn't keeping me as tight as I'd like. Because I date a much older man, it's important to keep up the hot young girlfriend thing, lest he leave me for a 25 year old. He loves me for who I am but that's no excuse to be a fat beer-swilling slob. Thankfully he had a vasectomy so I don't have to worry about baby weight but man, beer is almost more destructive than Flamin Hot Cheetos cravings at my age.I'd tried the drug store formulation of Hydroxycut a few months back thinking it might be as good as it used to be with no success. No rush, no burst of energy, no warmth coursing through my chubby little body. That was a waste.One morning, I stepped on the scale and wanted to puke. Was that number a mistake? Was my scale somehow mis-calibrated? I tried it again... STILL THE SAME NUMBER. OH THE HORROR! I couldn't even bring myself to look at myself naked and I am a huge narcissist so I HAD to do something.So I decided to give up the beer and looked for a good diet supplement... well lookie lookie, there was my friend Hydroxycut with great reviews! I'm a huge coffee drinker anyway so I wasn't afraid of getting too jacked up on this stuff, I just wanted my old fat-burning buddy back.Let me tell you, this stuff does not disappoint.NOW, a few things: I only just started so the fat has not started pouring out of my body but I have dropped 2 pounds in two days, though I credit that more to not drinking beer than anything else. I will update this review in a month or so when I'm 20 pounds lighter.Knowing Hydroxycut like I do, I recommend you start slow (as does MuscleTech). I'm only taking one a day for this first week, if I stop getting such a buzz half an hour after that pill and get up early enough, I may add a second pill. I will probably stay at this dosage for now.It will affect everyone differently, obviously. You might hate the feeling it gives you but personally I love that "woooooooosh!!!" slap in the face of energy buzz it gives you. It may be a bit much for some people.I am not a huge fan of breakfast but it is important to eat on this stuff. So I whip up a spinach/yogurt/fruit shake in the NutriBullet with a tablespoon of GNC Maximum Greens Super Green Formula Complete, 8.84 oz and a shot of Re-Body SafSlim Berry Cream Fusion 16 Fl Oz As Seen On The Dr.Oz Show! - the SafSlim might be snake oil but oh well, I spent a ton on that bottle and might as well finish it. I also picked up a bottle of Garden of Life Vitamin Code Women's Multi 120 CNT CAP, Box because it is important to make sure you're getting good nutrition while you're forgetting to eat.On the previous formulation that worked so well for me, I was pretty much able to eat what I want - but that doesn't mean McDonald's and Flamin Hot Cheetos. You've got to be active and eat reasonably. But I had no problems squeezing in snacks I like and treats, as with any diet it's fine in moderation. But don't expect to sit down with an entire cheesecake and still lose weight. Not like you'd want one anyway while on this stuff.I have noticed this formula is a little rude to your digestive tract so proceed with caution. In other words, stick close to the bathroom and fuel your body with good stuff so your colon isn't constricting upon itself. Drink LOTS of water and ONLY water, no sugary juices or diet soda and definitely no beer. Sorry, my fellow beer-swilling slobs, it can't be good to mix booze and whatever magic stuff is in Hydroxycut.I will update with five stars when I've shaken off that 10 - 15 pounds I picked up, and am confident HHE in concert with a decent diet and a boost in activity will get me there in no time. Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go clean my house, fold my laundry, bake a cake and wash my car. Woooo!UPDATE 1/10/13So it has been only 3 weeks but figured I'd check in now that I'm at maximum dosage.I've lost about 9 pounds so far without working out any more than I was when I was gaining weight which is nice. I did notice I stalled MORE when not drinking, assuming my body was so used to those extra calories it went into starvation mode when they disappeared. So I put beer back into my diet (late at night, long after my last dose for the day) but in smaller portions (3 or 4 a night max as opposed to 7 or 8) and that's when it seemed the weight really started falling off.I do notice I get really munchy at night (even when not drinking - I take one or two days off from beer) but I am a fan of letting my body dictate what it wants, so I won't snack on chocolate or chips but do allow myself to eat late at night when I'm awake.For those complaining of headaches and other side effects, are you drinking enough water? I've noticed if I don't, I get headachey too. It is IMPERATIVE that you follow the directions and drink at least 10 glasses of water A DAY. Which you should be doing anyway.I am now up to two pills twice a day. I usually take my first two first thing in the morning, make a veggie-heavy NutriBullet shake or have a single hard-boiled egg 30 - 45 minutes later with more water and my cup of coffee and I'm good for the rest of the day (I am neither a fan of breakfast nor lunch). I stack my second dose just a few hours after my first.I did make the mistake of doubling up on doses one afternoon (I forgot I took the first two already) and it was awful for about 30 minutes, I felt like I was going to pass out and throw up at the same time. So don't do that.I used to require an afternoon nap to get through the day (hate me for my awesome job, it's OK) but haven't needed one since I started.So far so good.
