Product Description
CLA contains conjugated linoleic acid (CLA); a unique optical isomer of the polyunsaturated fatty acid linoleic acid. CLA is a lipid component of cell membranes and breast milk. Although dietary sources of CLA typically include red meat and dairy products; Jarrow FORMULAS CLA is derived from safflower oil. Two CLA 750 softgels offer the CLA equivalent of what is found in 38 slices of cheese. CLA has been shown in animal experiments to assist in glucose metabolism and enhancement/retention of lean body mass (muscle).* Store in a cool; dry place.Keep out of the reach of children.

Your Results may very well differ...here's why

Like others before me have commented, I did experience the diarrhea upon initiating usage. I do think the CLA is a healthful product but does it deliver the weight loss, it suggests it will? So far, only one person has experienced that benefit in the reviews as of my review.I should note, I was sent this as part of Amazon Vine Program. I was excited because I've purchased other Jarrow products for many years. It is an obvious choice, as I find overall that my body responds better to this brand better than most other brands. So you might think that I would be biased; after all they are known within the industry for putting out a quality product, but unless you benefit that is truly all that matters.That said, I noticed an improvement in the softness of my skin. However, absolutely no benefit in weight loss. In my opinion, there are many possible reasons why. I have been under extreme multiple stressors including the very recent loss of a parent. I have not been over eating, nor do I have a tendency to do so. My high weight is believed to be a direct result of multiple medications that I take with weight gain as a side effect. Additionally, I get limited exercise due to serious health challenges, which aside from injuries are also endocrine related, which I've experienced since childhood. People who observe my healthful diet, which is reasonable in portion size are shocked at the weight struggles I face. All that to say, it may work for you but obviously, it is not effective enough (at least at the dosage recommended)to alter my weight.I have incorporated CLA (other brands) in my dietary regime before and back then had no weight loss impact for me. I would suggest, if you choose to use it, follow the instructions exactly if your goal is weight loss and you have no complicating health factors as I do.It is my observation, that people's response to vitamins, herbs, homeopathy and essential oils are due to things such as: hereditary; health challenges; body chemistry (including blood type); exposures to environmental factors; attitudes; and amount of processed foods, we may or may not ingest. In addition, we are all unique so our body's response may vary even within a family. So, find out the return policy whether you buy it here or else where, so if you don't benefit, you may choose to be refunded.An additional factor to consider, Safflower and Olive oils are critical in a healthy diet, it is still a positive to ingest them in my opinion, even if you don't lose weight. I look at health as an all encompassing circle. If your body is as balanced as you can get it, that is what your first priority should be, appearance is a secondary objective; of course, everyone wants to be thin but being healthy is more important.

CLA becamse all the rage after two university studies suggested it assisted in weight loss. One done at the University of Wisconsin, found that overweight people taking approximately 3.5 grams of the substance lost 6 pounds more than the placebo group. This was, of course, in conjunction with a diet and exercise program. Once the people stop dieting, the weight came back. A study at Purdue concluded that the supplement improved insulin levels in diabetic patients and moderately improved triglyceride and glucose levels in the blood. These and other studies have suggested that CLA may be helpful in thwarting insulin resistance, reducing abdominal fat and building muscle mass, enhancing the immune system and reducing food allergies. The supplement does not do it alone, it must be in conjunction with a consistent nutrition and exercise program. In order to get 3.5 grams, which would convert to 3500 milligrams,you would have to take four or five of these capsules.It is not a miracle, but an aid.I have taken CLA for years, not so much for the weight loss benefits as for improvement in the quality of my skin and hair. It can be an internal lubricant so to speak, but you do adjust. Starting with one capsule and working up to the full dosage also helps.Jarrow is a reliable company. Their CLA supplements are easy to swallow and to tolerate.I think the inclusion of healthy oils such as that contained in this supplement is helpful regardless of whether you are looking to loss weight.I think as far as weight loss goes,it can be part of a sensible program. Sadly, there are no real shortcuts to weight loss but this may help.

Effective!

I was curious about the effectiveness of CLA for controlling hunger. Jarrow was running a great special, so I bought three bottles. While dieting, I find the CLA serves to dampen craving for sweets and between meal snacks.
