CLINICAL STUDY:
Breathslim® System successfully passed a 3-month double-blind study on the USC Campus.
Forty sedentary adult men and women (20-55 years of age) with body mass index (BMI) equal to or greater than 25 were recruited for 3 testing sessions. All 40 subjects performed resistive expiratory muscle training using the Breathslim® device over the duration of the study.
The main findings of the study are that resistive expiratory muscle training using the Breathslim device increased fat-free mass, increasing energy, raising resting metabolism and resulting in body fat loss. Subjects experienced improved energy, reduced food cravings, and better sleep.

Balances the system

Buyer beware: since the mouth is not designed for regular breathing, you must adjust to breathing only through your nose most of the twenty-four hours otherwise this device will not be effective.After researching and discovering that there is a 90 percent success rate doing nasal breathing exercises, I knew that I would give this a try. (The reason that the success rate was not 100 percent was because there are those that do not do this daily).Although weight loss will depend on how many times that you practice the breathing exercises there really is just no way you won't lose weight when doing the daily breathing exercises because your appetite 'will be' suppressed... unless you eat when you aren't hungry. I have been doing breathing exercises for over a month now and am quite happy with the results. Of course, I have 'experimented' with not doing the breathing exercises daily and, I have 'experimented' with eating when I wasn't hungry - and I can tell you that I could tell the difference. Supposedly after about three months of daily breathing exercises - this is apparently the amount of time that the body needs to retrain (when we were first born we breathed through our noses and not our mouths) itself to the new habit of breathing - you only need to do the breathing exercises a couple of times a week.This breathing device - which is similar to the Frolov Breathing Device - does what it says. Inhalation and exhalation with the Breathslim device works by regulating the amount of oxygen you take into your lungs - belly breathing aka diaphragmatic breathing. And normalizing your carbon dioxide levels.Also, there is more information about the breathslim device and downloads on the breathslim website. One of the video's there has an interview with Al Lee, the author of Perfect Breathing. Another good book to discover more about 'correct breathing' is a book by Patrick McKeown, Asthma-Free Naturally, which explains reduced breathing exercises.

I read a review about this system on a fitness blog and thought I'd try it out, since they offer a 30 day free trial. This is the second time I put my skepticism to the side, and something good comes out of it... I love it for 2 reasons so far. It helps me with anxiety. My heartbeat is usually elevated but since I've been using it for about a week and a half I feel a lot calmer! Secondly it's great for yoga. I practice yoga about 2-3 times a week and noticed that it's been easier for me to combine deep breathing with challenging poses in class and it lets me really get into my mediation. P.S. I started out by breathing 10 minutes at first because it was pretty difficult to go all 20 at once, but I've been increasing it after 2 days so I'm up to 18 mins now.

I have only been using this for a week or so but I noticed sleeping better after the first use. For me it has really reduced my appetite. I feel good and my attitude toward everything is more positive. I have noticed meditation is easier because my breathing seems more natural. I would recommend this to everyone.
