Hoodia by Nature's Way 60 VegCap Hoodia gordonii a 20 1 concentrate from South Africa is synergistically mixed with Glucomannan to provide a potent dual action affect. Hoodia has been used for centuries in the Kalahari Desert to help hunters endure long expeditions. Our Hoodia comes directly from a South African grower who is certified to export this product under the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES). Our Hoodia is grown for two to three years to provide peak potency. No fillers or excipients are used in our product. Dosage Take 1 to 2 capsules with a full glass of water approximately 30 minutes before a meal. Dosage Form Precautions Do not use if pregnant or lactating.

Works great to reduce hunger!

I have to give you some background about me before I review this product. I am a compulsive overeater. A food addict. Once a food enters my brain, my brain obsesses about food in general until I eat something. THEN I can't stop eating at what would be a normal serving (healthy serving) of food, I way overeat. I eat until I'm satisfied. That could be eating a whole large pizza if that's what I chose to eat. My brain obsesses about food a lot, more than the normal 3 times a day routine. This Hoodia product totally helps me get rid of that obsession. I can go 4 or 5 hours without being hungry, then when I am hungry I truely am hungry, my stomach is empty and it growls. It's amazing! I take the recommended 2 pills 3 times a day (before meals). It DOES take a week or so to get into your system so don't give up after a day or so. Keep taking it for a week, then decide if it's working for you.I am in the process of watching what I eat and my portion sizes. It's difficult because I've eaten this way for many years but with the help of the hoodia it is getting a little easier to choose healthier foods and portions. Don't think of this as a quick way to lose weight, it isn't. It's all about how often you eat and how much you eat. Calories in, calories out is the perfect explanation. This just helps you eat less during the day than you might otherwise eat. I've been buying it at a different online retailer but found this (subscribe and save) to be much less expensive, plus if you don't have Prime you still get free shipping (regular shipping, not 2-day) since this is a subscribe and save item.I highly recommend this product for people who are in my shoes. I do not recommend it for a quick weight-loss scheme. It simply doesn't work that way.

Contrary to alot of negative reviews, I find Hoodia works. Nothing is a miracle pill, and Hoodia is not a "weight loss" herb, but an appetite suppressant. One still must exercise and watch what they eat. I found that it did help reduce my appetite, and contols ravenous eating. I use the NATURE'S WAY because they are vegetarian, they are a concetrated cap (500mg each), they contain Glucomannan (a fiber that helps you feel "fuller"), and I believe Nature's Way products are quality and they are a company I trust.DO NOT buy an hoodia that has caffeine, green tea, or any other stimulant-it can make you jittery. Nature's Way Hoodia doesn't contain these. I read research that you really need 2000-3000mg a day for it to be effective. So, I take 6. It was only when I took 6 a day did I really notice it working. And please remember, it is an herb, you need to let it build up in your system. This can take a week or so. The only drawback, you might get a little bit of gas and loose stools the first couple of days while your body adjusts. Good luck and happy dieting!

Is this the right dose for you?

Each of these capsules contains 500 mg of Hoodia Gordonii (aerial parts) concentrate, and 500 mg of Glucomannan (root). ["Glucomannan is used for constipation, weight loss in adults and children, type 2 diabetes, blood sugar control, and lowering cholesterol." - WebMD]After doing much research on Hoodia, I have found that the effective dose for suppressing the appetite is approximately 2000 mg. I am 4'9" tall, so typically, a low dose of almost anything will work for me; however, such was not the case for this product. I did indeed find the effective dose to be 2000 mg IN A SINGLE SERVING. Needless to say, you may go through this entire bottle of 60 Vcaps in only 2 weeks depending on what you need to maintain appetite control.
