Cats love them too

I feed these to my two cats and they love them! They are on this for 2 weeks now. I'm not sure if this food helps with their weightloss but at least my 17 year old, 17.8 lb cat isn't begging as much as he use to which is a big thing for me (He always begs by scratching my legs and shred my pants). I'll check for progress in a few months, but most likely will buy more if this keeps up.Update June 30, 2013I been feeding my old cat for over 3 weeks now with this stuff and it's working. Although I'm not sure if my cat is losing weight yet and that will have to wait until about 3 months when weight loss is noticable and when I take him to the vet again. But let me tell you something about my cat. My cat does not know how to give up begging for food. Unlike my other cat, this cat always beg for food by scratching my pants exactly 4 times a day and it's not fun. Now, he only begs at least 1 or 2 times a day, and he doesn't scratch my pants, so he just looks at me and meows. I think the food curves his appetite because of the fiber. My cat is also eating alot less, I feed him about 2 or 3 times a day and not 4.Although I would give it a 5 star, I gave it a 4 because it's expensive and I found the same can at Pet Food Express. ($3 per can instead of $5.49). Regardless, if you can't find this at a local pet store, it is still worth purchasing this on amazon. 12 cans is about a half a year supply for 1 cat. Since this subtitute 1/3 of what you normally feed your cat daily, that means I saved about 1/3 a can of friskies everyday.It decreases my cat's bad habbit of begging for food dramatically, and he's still happy and doing his other normal activities, which makes me happy with just that that. If he is actually losing weight, which I am pretty sure that he is since he's eating less, that would be a big plus.Update July 21, 2013I still feed my cat with his typical food and this weightloss diet. He lost 1 lb!! Now he doesn't scratch my pants to beg for food anymore except once if I completely forgot to fed him all day. Instead of begging, he just simply calls out for me or just stares at me with googly eyes. He now eats 2 or 3 times a day instead of the usual 3-4 a few months ago. My family and I are now so happy and don't see our old cat as an annoyance.

my two little square pekingese love this product - adding it to their kibble has helped them attain and maintain a healthy weight and avoid future back and other problems overweight, spoiled dogs have - they appear to feel satisfied and full following a meal to which Fruitables has been added

Fruitables is a safe and delicious pumpkin food substitute for up to 30 percent of your dog's food every day. The product contains fiber in the form of pumpkin, oatmeal and inulin and nutrient dense fruits and vegetables. My dog LOVES this stuff! Your dog should lose 2% of his weight per week. There are 17 calories per quarter cup and in fact the entire can has only 118 calories. I am very careful to not buy any pet food products with ingredients that come from China because of their usual practice of adding poisons to their pet treats and food that are killing dogs. Upon contacting Fruitables company, I was assured that no ingredient used in their products has been anywhere NEAR China. The company states: "We specify domestically sourced ingredients and our manufacturing partners require an in-depth review of sourcing and quality processes each year. It is a rigorous 26 page assessment, and has to be singed off by senior personnel of the suppliers. Our Pumpkin is grown and processed within a 160 mile radius of Peoria, IL, and the supplemental ingredients are all sourced in the U.S., are Kosher, as is the producing plant, which is a human food processing facility. We do not certify our products as Kosher, as the expense is rather high to get the official seal on our packaging (and we aren't sure if consumers value Kosher for pets - yet), but every other product that is produced in the plant is certified Kosher." I feel safe with this product and recommend it to others.
