2600 compared to 2544

I have been using Muscle Juice 2544 for roughly one year now, and just recently noticed the release of the new 2600 formula. After finishing off my last tub of 2544, I ordered this, expecting it to be an improvement from the 2544 formula. I absolutely loved the 2544 formula; I would double the suggested serving size, add in ice cream and peanut butter, and it would make a nice weight gain shake. I gained roughly thirty pounds in a year period and loved the taste, which is not something I can say about most weight gain powders. But I digress; this is a review of the 2600, not the 2544. 2600 was a lot thinner than the 2544, which I would expect to make mixing a lot easier, however, this was not the case. After mixing for roughly the same time as I would with the 2544 formula, there were still clumps in the shake. After about two minutes of running through my blender, the clumps were gone, but I still see that as an inconvenience. The taste is going to take some getting used to; definitely not the great taste of the 2544. It isn't a bad taste, it is just the stereotypical protein/weight gainer taste, which disappoints me seeing as how the 2544 tasted great. As for the actual effect, you aren't going to see much improvement unless you are into power lifting or something. An extra 30 calories compared to 2544, somewhere around 2-3 grams of extra protein; and on the flip side, less sodium, cholesterol, CARBS; I actually liked having a lot of carbs in my weight gain shake, but I guess I'm in the minority here. I also noticed after comparing the two tubs, the 2600 has a lot of extra essential acids and different sources of protein. Where the 2544 only had the "contains milk and soy" warning, this one goes through a long list of different types of fish, as well as the milk and soy warning, so I guess that could be a good thing. But all in all, I'll probably go back to the 2544 formula after I'm done with this tub, just for the taste.
